Best Vintage Shops in NYC by Metropolis Vintage
In last week’s Vintage N’ Stuff podcast hosted by BIDSTITCH’s very own, Drew Heifetz, he sat down with NYC vintage legend Richard Colligan, owner of Metropolis Vintage. The podcast covered a multitude of topics since Richard is an OG in the vintage scene, but something we wanted to share with y’all was Richard’s top picks for vintage shopping in NYC.
New York City is a mecca for Vintage shopping, and with so many stores to choose from, its hard to actually find what you’re looking for. We hope this small list can make it a tad easier for you to find great vintage in NYC. Here’s Richard’s top picks:
Procell was started by Brian Procell and Jess Gonsalves in 2012. Since their inception, Procell has become one of NYC’s hottest spots, frequently being shopped by celebrities and locals alike. Their selection moves outside of the general t-shirt market and curates a large range of vintage for all tastes and styles.
Procell is located at 5 Delancey St, New York, NY 10002.
Born and raised local, Tim Pevzner, has curated the shop’s collection since 2015, and has built up a large following in NYC. Although Metropolis Vintage calls Looks NYC his “competition” the store has some amazing pieces and wonderful staff + owners. From tees to jackets and everything in between, check out Looks NYC if you’re ever in NYC.
Looks NYC is located at 684 Broadway, New York, NY 10012
Rogue Garms is a Vintage store curated by Emma Rogue that specializes in 90’s women’s wear. Emma Rogue originally started her fame on TikTok which she was able to turn into one of NYC’s most successful vintage stores! For a very trendy and fashionable take on women’s vintage, make sure to check out Rogue Garms if you’re in NYC!
Rogue Garms is located at 53 A Stanton St, New York, NY 10002
Although not technically located in NYC, Richard has to give a shoutout to his Cousin’s daughter, Ally who has built up an extremely successful vintage shop specializing in 70’s women’s clothing. You can mainly find her on Instagram, but she does pop up occasionally at Metropolis in NYC so feel free to check it out!
Huge thanks to Richard Colligan and Metropolis Vintage for hopping on the Vintage N’ Stuff podcast. Hopefully this helps you find some dope vintage spots in NYC! Make sure to also check out Metropolis Vintage if you ever find yourself in NYC. Metropolis Vintage is located at 803 Broadway, NY 10003
