Host of the Virtual Flea, Chris @1980somethingco, just announced via his Popshop Live set, that he and Popshop will be collaborating on the first ever Virtual Flea Market, called “Cyberswap”. This is a completely virtual event through Popshop Live where there will be a mass amount of vendors that will each have their own live “booth” set up. Users can hop in and out of different “booths” and can seemingly travel around a virtual event. The event will take place on May 14-15, where all vendors will be live simultaneously. This is basically like a real flea market but put into a fully virtual context. All the marketing will be taken care of by Popshop Live, so we’re interested to see how it all turns out. It’s definitely a unique and innovative idea that is pushing the limits of live selling.
